Community Leadership

A Life of Active Community Service

Arc. Akin Akinyemi's community leadership has centred on practical development, stakeholder coordination and the resolution of issues affecting residents. A resident and homeowner in Lekky County Homes, Ikota, Lekki, he has been actively involved in community organisation and infrastructure-related initiatives within the estate and surrounding communities. His leadership and ability to coordinate diverse interests led to his election by stakeholder consensus as Chairman of the Ikota Estates Community Development Association (IECDA). In July 2022, he worked with fellow residents to transform the existing LCHEORA into LCHEEORA — an Elite Residents and Owners Association, established as a forum for homeowners and residents within Lekky County Homes, Ikota. From the association's inception, he was entrusted with responsibility for its electoral process and successfully delivered elections described by the association as free, fair and credible in 2022, 2024 and 2026.
